Diamond Fold

Hello Everyone!  Sorry I am late posting my card for the One Stop Craft Challenge challenge this week.  This weeks theme is "More Than One Fold".  I chose to do a diamond fold card.  I recently saw this on You Tube and I thought I'd give it a try.  I have to say it is a whole lot easier than it looks!

Start with a piece of paper 4" x 12".  Score with your Scor-Pal  at 2", 4" 8" and 10".  Next make a light marking on the back at 6", this is where you will start your diagonal lines at.  Here is a template that I created for it:

Below are some pictures to give you a better idea on how I folded it.
I used my cute little hAnglar girl to adorn my card and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft, my absolute favorite spot to purchase paper flowers.

Shabby Chic Valentine

Yeah!  It's Thursday!  It is also time for another challenge at Cute Card Thursday!  This week we want to see your cards that feature a recipe of 123...any combo it can be 1 paper, 2 ribbons, 3 buttons or 1 image, 2 flowers and 3 papers....the combo is entirely up to you.  This week's sponsor is "Simply Betty Stamps", hop on over to the Cute Card Thursday Challenge blog for more information.

I've started making Valentine cards!  They are one of my favorites because I just love the colors!  Pinks, burgundy, purples, ect. all so girly and I'm all about being girly!  Both of my images today are from the new So Special Collection.  I used "King Tilda" and "Mini Tilda with Many Hearts"(for my tag).  My recipe is 1 tag, 2 designer papers and 3 ribbons.  The tag was cute with the "Lacy Labels" cartridge from Cricut.  I had so much fun distressing and "shabby chicing" everything!  I embossed the oval behind King Tilda with an embossing folder from Stampin Up!
Nothing says Shabby Chic like lace, ribbon and buttons so I added lots of them!
Thanks for dropping by today!  See you again soon!

A Basket Full of Flowers For You.

OK, here is my second post for the day.  Our theme at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is "Anything But Square!"  For this weeks challenge you will create a card that has a different non-traditional shape!  There are A LOT of prizes this week so you are not going to want to miss this one!  Head on over to the blog to take a look.

For my non-square card I chose to do a basket card.  I cut it out with my cricut (seems to be my best friend lately!)  I used the "Blooms" Lite cartridge from Walmart.

Here is a side view, you can see where I attached the handle to create the card.  The Tilda that I used is from the new So Special Collection.

Thanks for taking the time to view my post!

Purple Pansies

Hi everyone!  Today I have two posts for you, the first is for Sunday Sketch and Stamp.  Emma has a gorgeous sketch for us, here it is:

And here is my card!

I picked up the pansy stamp at our local Scrapbook/Stamping Expo last summer, it didn't have a manufacturer on it.   I also used an adorable hAnglar & stAnglar stamp that my cousin sent me a while ago.  I teeny tiny little white and purple flowers are from Stamping Bella, I can't remember where I picked them up, I think it was from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design but it was a long time ago and I didn't see them on her site anymore.  The other flowers were punched from a Stampin Up! punch, along with the tiny pearls in all of the flowers.

Challenges:  Lovely haenglar only

Thanks for stopping by!  I enjoyed your visit!

Chocolate!!!

Hi everyone!  Our theme at Cute Card Thursday is "Monochrome"

Wikipedia defines Monochrome as....

Monochrome[1] describes paintings, drawings, design, or photographs in one color or shades of one color.[2] A monochromatic object or image has colors in shades of limited colors or hues. Monochrome images in neutral colors are called grayscale or
black-and-white.

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp they are offering a generous $25 gift certificate for our winner!

All of the designer paper is from Stampin Up!  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft.  I used Dinner Tilda and Tin Boxes for my images and colored them with copics.

copics:
Hair:  E41, E4E, E44
skin:  E00, E21
clothes:  E50, E51, E53
tin boxes:  E50, E51, E53, W00, W1, E41, E43, E44

I have not entered into a challenge for a very long time so I decided to enter my card into the Magnolia-Licious Hightlites Challenge.

Thanks for dropping by!

My Artwork....

Good morning friends!  This week at One Stop Craft Challenge we would like you to make a card for a child.  Well, I started out making a card for a child and I ended up making a page frame for my BFF for her daughter!  Her daughter is very artistic and I thought it would be a great place to display her masterpieces!

Here is a close up of the "card".  The image from Elisabeth Bell, it is call "Little Suzanne".  The crayons are from the "Locker Talk" cartridge from Cricut.  Designer paper is from CTMH, it was speciality pack from about a year ago.

Here is the whole page frame.

Lacy Love

Good day everyone!!  I'm so glad you stopped by!  Today is Thursday so that means a new challenge at Cute Card Thursday.  This weeks theme is "Out With The Old!" we want to see you use up some old stash....papers, embellishments etc. It doesn't all need to be old, but we want you to use as much old stuff as possible.  That is quite easy for me as my "old" stash seems to take on a life of its own!  I don't know why I save all those little pieces, they just collect dust but nonetheless I do (we all do!).
I used a cute little hAnglar toddler girl for my image, sentiment is also from hAnglar.  I just love this collection of toddlers from them.  The little girls polkadot shirt is the cutest!  I cute the background with the Paper Lace cartridge from Cricut.  The flower border under the image is a Martha Stewart punch.  I'm sorry but I can't remember who the paper is from...it was from my stash afterall!  I glammed up her wings with Diamond Stickles.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft.

copics:
skin:  E00, E21
clothes:  BG0000, BG10, B41, B00
hair:  E41, E43, E44
shoes:  E31, E33

Thanks for stopping by!

News and Blog Candy!

As promised....I'm back with some exciting news and blog candy.  I am now a member of the Scor-Pal design team!!!  I was so excited when Diana asked me to be on the team and I wanted to share my excitement with you by offering up some blog candy!  Check out the photo, yes you are seeing right, it's a brand spankin new Scor-Pal!  Plus three Magnolia's from the newer collections, two from Merry Little Christmas and one from the fall (Apple Tilda is one of my favs!).  My blog candy will close on January 16th and Random.org will chose a winner on the 17th and I will announce it on my blog.

The exictement just keeps getting better!   I am also going to CHA!!!  at the end of the month to work with all of the talented ladies in the Scor-Pal booth.  I can not wait to meet everyone that is going, members of the Magnolialicious design team will be there also and I just can't wait to work along side them.  I'm one lucky girl!

So onto the rules of my blog candy...there isn't many but here they are:

1.  add your name to Mr. Linky
2. You don't have to become a follower to win, but I would appreciate it if you did.
3.  Advertise my candy on your blog (if you have one).

That's it!  Good Luck!
