Wow, can't believe that the 4th of July is almost here!  Summer is cruising by!  This card was inspired by the challenge over at Just Magnolia.  I took a few liberties and changed the sketch just a ting.

Design papers are My Minds Eye.  I cut "4th of July" and the star border with my Cricut - Stand and Salute cartridge.

Card/Bookmark

This card was inspired by the monthly challenge at Tickled Pink.  I must say that I really enjoyed making this card once I had an idea to work with.

There are a lot of pieces and elements to this card, so there are a lot of pictures to show.

The hAnglar girls pulls out and that is the bookmark.  Design papers used are Heidi Grace and Cloud 9.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I used a Martha Stewart punch on the bottom of the bookmark and around the circle at the bottom.

And finally the inside....

One Stop Craft Challenge - Week 86 Pink and Brown

This week at One Stop Craft Challenge the lovely Francesa has asked us to use Pink and Brown.  This week we are being sponsored by Wink Wink Ink.  Here is what I came up with:

I felt like doing something other than a card...so I made a box.   The box measured 6x6 inches.  I made the drawer pull by placing a pretty brad onto an unmushed eyelet then attaching it to my drawer.  I like to attach them this way better because then there is a litttle space between the drawer and the pull.

The top image is Mr. and Mrs. Foxglove by Whiff of Joy.  I just love how Mrs. Foxglove is peaking from behind Mr. Foxglove!  The lace from my grandmother's stash, I miss her daily.

You can get a better look at the drawer pull here.

Glad you stopped by!  Can't wait to see what you create that is pink and brown!

Woodland Tilda

Josh is finally feeling better, after a trip to the ER and some anti-naseau medicine!  I was worried that he may have had an appendicitis, thankfully that was not the case.

Today's card uses Lady Tilda - Lady of the Forest!  The gorgeous sketch is from CLP Monthly Challenge #26.  Oh...by the way, I will be guest designer for them in September!!  I'm very excited about it and can't wait!

I stitched around the base mat and oval mat with my sewing machine.  Flowers are from Prima and Jolee, I've also used a Martha Stewart punch and some swirly pearls.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful day!

Thanks a Melon!!

Thanks for dropping by!  This time I'm doing a card for a Spoon Full or Sugar Challenge 108 - Enjoying the Sunshine.  Nothing says summer and sunshine to me like a nice piece of juicy watermelon!  I'm also entering it into Creative Card Crew Challenge - Thank You!

I really like this image, she is Alva from Magnolia Stamps.  She is such a cute little elf, sitting there on her mushrooms.

I layered the mushrooms a bit to give it a more 3-D look.  Design papers are from Bo-Bunny and the red is from my stash.  I cut the watermelon shape with my cricut and distressed and inked the edges.

Here is a little better look at the dimensional aspect of the card.

Thanks a Melon for stopping by!!  Enjoy a nice piece of juicy, cold watermelon today!

Hurray for the Red, White and Blue!!

Good day everyone!  Hope everyone is enjoying their Father's Day celebration.  Happy Father's Day to all the father's out there!!  My hubby worked midnights last night so right now he is catching up on some sleep.  We plan to do a barbeque tonight.  Last night before he went to work we went out for dinner and across from the restaurant was this great BBQ store.  We bought some yummy apple cinnamon BBQ sauce and some peach BBQ Sauce.   Can't wait to try them out!!  Kind of a quiet day at my house.  But it's kind of nice, if you know what I mean!!

Anyway...today's card was inspired by the sketch and theme over at The Pixie Cottage  Challenge #23, make mine patriotic.  There is also a great tutorial there on how to make an explosion card.  I haven't given it a try yet but it looks interesting :)

Of course I used the grand red, white and blue theme, I punched flowers with my martha stewart punch and embellishmented them with some bling!!  Then I went on a treasure hunt around the house and came across the star picks (they were left over from Mike's retirement party - 25 years in the Navy).  The paper is from my stash.  The stamp is from Stampavive - Gillian Roberts - Being Together.  She is just the cutest!!

DT Call for the Shabby Tea Room!

Good afternoon everyone!  Today was our first day receiving our co-op share of vegetables and fruit!  Yummy!!  Everything is grown locally and is organic.  So this week we got a lot of spinach and all sorts of lettuce.  Can't wait to make creamed spinach, now I just to have to find a recipe for it!

On to today's card, The Shabby Tea Room is having a design team call and thought I would give it a shot.   We were suppose to create something that was inspired by this photo:

Here is what I came up with.  I absolutely love antique tea pots and tea cups, so this project was so much fun for me.

Card Recipe:  a whole lot of love!, stamp images are  hÄnglar & stÄnglar and Magnolia (tea cup).  The sentiment is computer generated. Design papers are from Deja View.  I distressed the heck out of it and used Walnut Stain Distress Ink for my accents. Here is a peak at the inside.  I included a tea bad to send along with the card.

Tiny Bubbles

Well, it's another dreary day here in Colorado so I thought I'd whip up a card.  The sketch for the card is from Just Magnolia.  My Katie is so infatuated with bubbles right now, I just had to make a bubble card.  I've used a bunch of different bubbles, large, small, acetate one, liquid glass ones, rhinestone and pearl ones!  Guess you could say that I put some bling into my bling! LOL!

Here is a quick peak inside, nothing fancy.  Design papers are from Magnolia, Bo Bunny and Imaginese.  The swirly thingy is cut with my cricut, as well as the leaves.
