Cute Card Thursday - My Best Friends

It's Cute Card Thursday time!!  This week we have a fabulous sketch from Deb.  I've been in a fall kind of mood, so my color choices are reflecting that!  As ya'll can tell from me blog, my Katie (and me, of course) just love horses!!  That is Katie and our Sweet Pea on the top of my sidebar.  Sweet Pea is sort of a mutt when it comes to breed, she is part Welsch Pony and Quarter Horse.  She is so good with children and absolutely loves Josh and Katie.  When I saw this image, I absolutely fell in love with it and had to have it!  It is from Elisabeth Bell.  Isn't she just adorable!  Katie loves playing with toy horses and it so reminds me of her.
My designer paper is from Bo Bunny, Basic Grey and Adornit.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Prima.  I have made this card into an easel card.  It is quite simple to do.  Cut your cardstock 6 x 12 inches, next score at 3" and 6".  Next cut your card topper 6 x 6 inches and attach it to the 3" part of your card and wahla!! you have an easel card.
Here is a list of the copics that I used to color with: E51, W1, G82, G0000, G12, YR0000, E35, YR23, Y0000, G21, BG93, E44, E53, E42, E43, E33, E30, E41, E00, E21.

I always us E00 and E21 for my skin color. I add shadow by adding Distress Inks.

Thanks for stopping by!

Guest Designer for Challenge #28 at The Pixie Cottage

Good morning all!  It's Wednesday and time for another Once Upon a Wednesday at The Pixie Cottage.  This week we have an awesome sketch and the theme is "double play".  We want you to use two stamped images on your card.  On this one I masked Tilda on "Stump/Bench".  The blue colors really spoke to me on this one and I'm very please with the way it turned out.
My shape that I stamped on was cut on my Cricut - from the "Lovely Labels" cartridge.

I left the inside of this one blank because I wanted to be able to use for any occassion.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope your enjoyed your visit.

Daisy Girl

Hi everyone!  Thanks for dropping by today.    It has been a busy busy week at our household.  We had a new patio put in and next week they are starting a patio cover!!  I can't wait to get some shade in my backyard!  The Colorado sun can be a real killer sometimes.
Today's card is for the Tickled Pink Monthly Challenge.  I used Creative Imaginations designer paper and CTMH cardstock.  This is the first time that I haven't used lumpy bumpy flowers on my card!!  That was a challenge for me (but not part of the challenge).  I cut all of the flowers and die cut that my hÄnglar & stÄnglar girl is on with my Cricut, I used the Cindy Loo cartridge and Walk In My Garden cartridge.

Copics used to color with: B45, B95, E33, E35, E30, E41, B97, R11, E42, E00, E31, B00, G21, G20, E21

My image is from hAnglar & stAnglar.  Design paper is from Basic Grey.  I cut the tree and Noel with my Cricut, from the Christmas Solutions cartridge.  I've added some butterfly wings and feathers to her wings.

Happy Anniversary...Loving Couple

As promised, I'm back with a card!  Our anniversary (Mike and I) is  coming up next month, 11 years!  This year I made him a card instead of buying one.  I absolutely love this image from Magnolia, it is so tender and loving.  We have been through so much since our wedding day, people usually say that I love my husband as much as I did when we got married.   For me, I love my husband so much MORE than when we got married because of all the "stuff" we have been through together.  I used the sketch from Crafting Life's Pieces Challenge #27.  I will be guest designer for them in September.
The new wedding collection is now in stock at 7 Kids College Fund.   Loving Bride and Groom is one of my favorites from the wedding collection.  The other image on the card is Oak Tree.  My designer paper is from Basic Grey.  I embellishmented the flowers and filigree around the image with Diamond Stickles.  Here is a list of Copic Markers that I used to color with:  E50, E31, E33, E42, E53, G12, E37, R11, R20, E44, BG93, E43,E41, G82, B00, R02, E21, E00, B0000.

Sentiment is from CTMH.  I cut all the labels with my Cricut, they are from the Lovely Labels Lite cartridge from Walmart.  I have to say that I really like this cartridge for cardmaking.

Have a wonderful evening/day!

Nora on a Swing

Hello again!  I've had some time on my hands lately, which is abnormal for me with two small children (lol!) so I've been very busy making cards.  I have to say that this card is one of my favorite ones that I made lately.  I've used the sketch from Sketch Saturday Week #110.  I am also entering it into Cute Card Thursday and Flutter By Wednesday Week #112.  I am absolutely in love with the designer papers, they are from Making Memories.  When I first saw it I thought it was a little busy with the paisley's and all but once I started using it, I completely fell in love with it!  I used CTMH cardstock for the matting.

Isn't this image just the cutest??  She is Nora on a Swing from C.C. Designs.  I used Diamond Stickles to add some bling to her wings and to the butterflies.  I hand drew the grass to ground her.  The flowers are Off white mini roses from Prima.  The bigger flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I attached a punched Martha Stewart butterfly to a crystal pick so it looks like it is fluttering by.

The inside.

copics used to color with:  E21, BG93, E53, W00, W1, E50, E00, E33, E31, R12, E57, G82, B0000, W3, R01, B41, E35, R02, R11, YR31.

Fairy Tilda

I am a fisherman's widow this week..Mike went fishing in Alaska and I'm hoping he is going to bring home lots of Halibut!

Today's card is for the Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge #31 and Stamptaular Sunday Challenge #66.  Sunday Sketch and Stamp is also having a design team call so keep your fingers crossed!!  The sketch is from Sunday Sketch, I took a lot of liberties with the sketch but I'm pleased with the way it turned out.  I ended up making a window and framing it with filigree cut from my Cricut and Martha Stewart butterfly punch then added some bling.

I stitched around my card with my sewing machine. I didn't use very many flowers because I did not want to detract from the filigree frame.  Tilda's wings (on mini Tilda and Fairy Tilda) are embellishment with Diamond Stickles.  The fabulous designer paper is from Bo Bunny and I used CTMH cardstock to mat with.

Stamps used are Mini Tilda, Fairy Tilda and Swing.

Thanks for stopping by,
Lisa

Spring Tilda

Hi everyone!!  Glad you stopped by today.  I made this card for the Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge, Criss Cross Card.  I had fun making it.  If you want to learn how to make a criss cross card just go to their blog and you will find a great tutorial!
I'm still in love Magnolia's and just can't get enough of them.  On this card I used Spring Tilda from the Chasing Butterflies Collection and Log from the Halloween and Autumn Collection.   I used an acetate film sheet for the card inside.  I didn't want to cover up the beautiful designer paper and came up with the acetate so you could see through it.  I also used Glossy Accents on her boots to make them look like rain boots.  It's kind of hard to see but it looks super cute in person!  A list of copic markers I used to color with is at the end of this post.

Designer paper is from DMWV and My Mind's Eye, the senitment is from CTMH, flowers are prima and wild orchid crafts.

Copics used: BG10, W00, E00, R11, E50, E53, YR31, E51, E29, G21, E33, BG93, E44, E57, E43, E35, E30, W3, E21, E42, BG15, BG72, BG18

Thanks again for stopping by, it was so good to see you!!

Hannah with Butterflies - Guest Designer for The Pixie Cottage!!

Good Day everyone!!  I'm so excited to be Guest Designer for The Pixie Cottage for the months of July and August!!  I absolutely love their challenges and their awesome sketches.  This "Once Upon a Wednesday" Challenge is to make a card with an aperture (window) and the fabulous sketch is from Dawny P.  For this card I used Hannah with Butterflies.  I hope you play along!

Card Recipe:
Designer Paper and sentiment is from Stampin Up.
Flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and Prima
stitched with my sewing machine
butterfly punch from Martha Stewart
colored with copics
Here is a peak at the inside.  I'm sorry that I didn't take better pictures of the window on the front.  I basically cut a mat from the brown and blue pot a dot paper and used pop dots to lift it up like a window.

Have a wonderful day, I hope you see some butterflies flying by.

One Stop Craft Challenge - Distressing! Challenge #87

Well it is Saturday again and time for a new challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge.  Be sure to stop by and check out the fabulous creations from the design team.

Our challenge today is from Gina and she chose Distressing.  Which is one of my favorite things!  I used a lot of brown ink and distressing tool to create my distressed look here.  I even colored the large rose with my copics to look aged.  I added a string of pearls, because it's such an aged and classic look.

My hÄnglar girl is colored with copics and I used pumice stone Distress Ink for the shading.

Thanks for dropping by today, I hope you play along at One Stop Craft Challenge.  I can't wait to see your creation!  Have a Bee-autiful day!
