Fairy Tilda

I am a fisherman's widow this week..Mike went fishing in Alaska and I'm hoping he is going to bring home lots of Halibut!

Today's card is for the Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge #31 and Stamptaular Sunday Challenge #66.  Sunday Sketch and Stamp is also having a design team call so keep your fingers crossed!!  The sketch is from Sunday Sketch, I took a lot of liberties with the sketch but I'm pleased with the way it turned out.  I ended up making a window and framing it with filigree cut from my Cricut and Martha Stewart butterfly punch then added some bling.

I stitched around my card with my sewing machine. I didn't use very many flowers because I did not want to detract from the filigree frame.  Tilda's wings (on mini Tilda and Fairy Tilda) are embellishment with Diamond Stickles.  The fabulous designer paper is from Bo Bunny and I used CTMH cardstock to mat with.

Stamps used are Mini Tilda, Fairy Tilda and Swing.

Thanks for stopping by,
Lisa

Spring Tilda

Hi everyone!!  Glad you stopped by today.  I made this card for the Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge, Criss Cross Card.  I had fun making it.  If you want to learn how to make a criss cross card just go to their blog and you will find a great tutorial!
I'm still in love Magnolia's and just can't get enough of them.  On this card I used Spring Tilda from the Chasing Butterflies Collection and Log from the Halloween and Autumn Collection.   I used an acetate film sheet for the card inside.  I didn't want to cover up the beautiful designer paper and came up with the acetate so you could see through it.  I also used Glossy Accents on her boots to make them look like rain boots.  It's kind of hard to see but it looks super cute in person!  A list of copic markers I used to color with is at the end of this post.

Designer paper is from DMWV and My Mind's Eye, the senitment is from CTMH, flowers are prima and wild orchid crafts.

Copics used: BG10, W00, E00, R11, E50, E53, YR31, E51, E29, G21, E33, BG93, E44, E57, E43, E35, E30, W3, E21, E42, BG15, BG72, BG18

Thanks again for stopping by, it was so good to see you!!

Hannah with Butterflies - Guest Designer for The Pixie Cottage!!

Good Day everyone!!  I'm so excited to be Guest Designer for The Pixie Cottage for the months of July and August!!  I absolutely love their challenges and their awesome sketches.  This "Once Upon a Wednesday" Challenge is to make a card with an aperture (window) and the fabulous sketch is from Dawny P.  For this card I used Hannah with Butterflies.  I hope you play along!

Card Recipe:
Designer Paper and sentiment is from Stampin Up.
Flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and Prima
stitched with my sewing machine
butterfly punch from Martha Stewart
colored with copics
Here is a peak at the inside.  I'm sorry that I didn't take better pictures of the window on the front.  I basically cut a mat from the brown and blue pot a dot paper and used pop dots to lift it up like a window.

Have a wonderful day, I hope you see some butterflies flying by.

One Stop Craft Challenge - Distressing! Challenge #87

Well it is Saturday again and time for a new challenge at One Stop Craft Challenge.  Be sure to stop by and check out the fabulous creations from the design team.

Our challenge today is from Gina and she chose Distressing.  Which is one of my favorite things!  I used a lot of brown ink and distressing tool to create my distressed look here.  I even colored the large rose with my copics to look aged.  I added a string of pearls, because it's such an aged and classic look.

My hÄnglar girl is colored with copics and I used pumice stone Distress Ink for the shading.

Thanks for dropping by today, I hope you play along at One Stop Craft Challenge.  I can't wait to see your creation!  Have a Bee-autiful day!

Got Bait??

Hi everyone!  My husband and son REALLY like to fish.  Josh always seems to catch the big one and out fish his dad!  I just love this hAnglar image. Of course, I say that about all of them!

Designer paper is by Three Bugs in a Rug.
I cut the swirls with my Cricut (Storybook) and I also cut the fish with my cricut (Everyday Paper Dolls).  I distressed the heck out of the fish by crumpling it up a bunch of times and used walnut stain Distress Ink on it.
The shape the image is in was also cut my Cricut (I think Storybook)
The little fishys are from JoAnns
I also used my Martha Stewart punch for the seaweed.

List of copics used to color with:  B0000, E57, G82,Y23,E31, E53, R29, E33, G21, W3, G0000, G12, B45, B93, C00, C5, B41

Tilda Among Cherries

Hello everyone!  Thanks for stopping by today!  I just love this time of year, all the fresh fruits and veggies that taste so much better now then other times of the year.  When I lived in West Virginia we had about 12 apple trees and a cherry tree that when in season the branches would literally hang clear to the ground because it was loaded with so much fruit!  I miss those trees.....Here is a card that I made for a couple of challenges:  The Pixie Cottage Challenge #25 and Cute Card Thursday  Fruity Challenge, Paper Take Weekly  Challenge - In Stitches, Magnolia Down Under Challenge - Something Sweet.

I loved coloring the cherries on this card.  At first I thought it was going to be a little difficult because they are dark, but once I started it was so much fun coloring them!!

Card Recipe:

Design Papers:  CTMH
stamps:  Jam Tilda can be found at 7 Kids.
Whimsy Doodle Stamps (cherries and pot)
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts, cherry buttons are from JoAnns
Liquid Glass (CTMH) on some of the cherries
Diamond Stickles are accenting the flowers.
And of course, I used my sewing machine again!  (seems I love this stitch!)

Copics used to color with.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoyed today's post.
