Dream

Good day to you!  Today is Thursday which means it is time for another challenge at Cute Card Thursday.  This week we have a great sketch by Christine, here is her sketch

And here is my card:
I just LOVE the new collection from Magnolia, Butterfly Dreams.  I used Tilda in Butterfly Dress for my image today, isn't she just the cutest!   Designer paper is from Magnolia (newsprint) and Prima Marketing, Jack and Jill (ladybugs).  I really like the Prima collection too it really has some great prints in it!  The flowers are from Michaels, Recollection collection and Wild Orchid craft.

I hope everyone has a splenderifious day!!  I am going out to dinner with my hubby at our favorite Greek restaurant tonight for my birthday dinner!

Feathers, Flowers and Fluttery...

Thanks for stopping by today!  It's not such a great day for me today, my dad has had several TIA strokes over the past couple of years and yesterday he had a couple more.  They tested his carotid artery, one is clear the other has 98% blockage so surgery will be soon but they want him to wait so he can recover from the strokes first.

So one way that I keep myself busy (he lives 1,000's of miles from me) is to cook or craft! Yesterday was a cooking day, I made homemade brownies, finnish coffee bread, chocolate chip cookies, stew for dinner, and homemade pot stickers, LOL!  Today is a craft day and blog updating day!  This is the project that I made for the Magnolia Ink contest this month.  They wanted to see an Easter project.  I have thought about this project for about 2 months now and finally got it finished.

I bought the cutest little mini birdcage from Michaels and fancied it up with feathers, flowers and birds.  I used a new Magnolia, Tilda in Lace Jeans, Little Birds and Mini Two Eggs.  I used some sparkly little mini bird eggs inside of a soft little feather nest.  The crystal flower sprig is from Michaels too.   I took lots of pictures this time, so sit back and enjoy!

I am also entering this into the Magnolia-Licious Highlites Spring Challenge!

Thanks for dropping by, you really made my day!

Happy Birthday!!

I'm so excited today, after going to CHA and having so much fun there and demonstrating the new Scor-Pal my local Stamping/Scrapbook Store, Simple Pleasures asked me to demo it for their Anniversary celebration today.  I'm so excited and can't wait to show more people how absolutely wonderful my Scor-Pal is!

February is a big birthday month in our family, Katie turned 3 at the beginning of the month and my birthday is this week!  So in honor of the birthdays I chose to do a birthday card theme at One Stop Craft Challenge.  I'm asking for a birthday card that has a cake on it because after all who doesn't LOVE cake!!  Chocolate is my favorite, what is yours?

I make a cake easel card, actually there are two cakes on my card!  The more the merrier!  I used Love Cake and Tilda with Amaryllis.  I used my Scor-Pal to score diagonal lines into my base cake, I saw this on someone's blog but can't remember who so I'm sorry that I can't give them credit.  I decorated my cake with lots of pearls, lace and flowers!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have some yummy cake today!

Twisted Easel Card

I'm late posting my Cute Card Thursday again, shame on me!  Anyway, the theme this week is "Shiny Happy Cards".  I made this card for my brother-in-law's birthday coming up in March.  This is my first twisted easel card, it was pretty easy to make and kind of cool to look at!!  My image is a hAnglar & stAnglar, such a cute little picnic boy, don't you think??

My "Shiny" pieces are the flowers, they are all made from metal.  I cut metal sheething flowers with a Tim Holtz die for the Big Shot.  Other than that, it is a pretty simple card.  I guess you really can't get too frilly for a male card.  I did a lot of sewing and used a Martha Stewart punch for the border on the bottom.

The sentiments are from LOTV and SU.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you tomorrow!

How I Store My Maggies

Quick post for today..I thought I would share with you the way I store my Maggies (and other cling stamps).  I bought this awesome photo storage case from Michaels.  It came with 12 smaller 4 x 6 boxes inside, it is originally to store your photos in but I thought, what the heck, this would make great storage for my Maggies!!  I think I'm working on box 4 now :)  I really love the way they are categorized, by collection.  Some have more than one box for a collection, they hold about 6 regular size Maggies and a couple of the sentiments and accessories for that collection (you can see by the second photo).
The case runs about $40 (this includes the 12 cases inside), I purchased mine either on sale or I used my Michaels 50% coupon.  Additional 4 x 6 boxes can be purchased for $1.99.

I just love this storage solution!  I hope you liked it :)

Here is the inside of the little box, occassionally if I have masked an item, I will store the image that was masked (cut out from paper) adhered to the inside of the lid of the box where the stamp is stored.  I like to mask things alot so it keeps me from having to constantly cut my image out to mask with.

Hearts and Flowers

Thanks for stopping by!  Today's card is for Cute Card Thursday, our theme this week is Hearts and Flowers.  My card has a little surprise with it, scroll down to see what I mean.

The awesome designer papers are from Prima Marketing, Jack and Jill Collection, one of my favs at the moments.  The cool looking flower border down the side of my card was made with my new Martha Stewart border punch.  I used Bon Voyage Tilda, Log and I think the flowers are from the Lazy Summer Collection from 2009.

My surprise is the Mini Tilda tag!!  I used Tilda With Many Hearts.

Princess

Hello there!  I forgot to add my card to my blog for Sunday Sketch & Stamp!!  I guess when I returned from CHA my mind was somewhere else!  CHA was so much fun!!  I had a great time meeting people in person that I have been on design teams with have chatted with.  I'll try to post some pictures later on.

Onto my card!!  Our awesome sketch this week was provided by the very talented Erin.  I masked Lady Tilda with the stone window from the Fairy Tale collections.  The polka dot and butterfly paper is from Prima Marketing, the Jack and Jill collection (one of new favorites at the moment!!)

Thanks for stopping by!  See you on Thursday!
