For Madelyn

I'm posting this card again because I am giving it to my friend's daughter Madelyn.  Madelyn is 2 1/2 years old and was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.  Today is her first day of chemotherapy so I thought I would send her along this Magic Fairy to take away all the ouchies for her.  Please keep Madelyn in your prayers.  If you would like to make a girly frilly card for her, you can send it to me and I will be sure that receives all of them.  I know they will be greatly appreciated.  Her mother is a fellow card maker and scrapbooker and friend of mine.

Time

Hello everyone!  I made this card just in time.  A friend of mine has a daughter who is the same age as my Katie, her name is Madelyn.  Madelyn was just diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.  Her chances of survival are 15%.  I can not begin to tell you how this has affected my life.  I feel so helpless, I just want to make all of it go away.
Anyways...my card is for Cute Card Thursday.  This theme this week is Time.  The image is from Lily of the Valley and my designer paper is from CTMH.  I used a new Martha Stewart punch for the border.  I have to say I just LOVE her punches!
Sorry my post is short today.

Bewitching

Good Morning all!!  It's time for another challenge at 7 Kids Challenge Blog.  This week is was my turn!!  Here is the sketch that I came up with:

The theme is Halloween and double up, double up simply means using two stamps.  They can either be two people or a person and a tree or fence.  Here is my card.  The double up part is in the inside.

And here is the inside

The designer paper is from Magnolia and I used Mummy Edwin, Hell Broth (the cauldron), and a Magnolia background stamp.  The images are stamped on Neenah Super Smooth paper and stamp with Memento Black Ink.  I used copic sketch markers to color my images.  When I was finished I forgot to write down the ones the used, so sorry!  The border around the images is an around the paper Martha Stewart punch.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you enjoy my sketch!  I can't wait to see your creations!

pepparkaka boy

Today at Sunday Sketch and Stamp we have an awesome sketch to follow, here is the sketch from Erin

And here is my interuptation.  Pepparkaka is the Finnish word for Gingerbread.  I can remember my grandmother making the most delicious gingerbread at Christmas time.  She had a special cookie cutter that she always used, a small tin heart.  She was from Finland and was an amazing cook and baker.  I have her recipe that she used from her old cookbook and I'm going to make her delicious cookies this year at Christmas.  This stamp reminds me so much of her and her cookies.  She passed away 6 years ago and I still miss her dearly.  So this one is for you grandma!
Designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket.  The ribbon is from my stash. Most of the embellishments is from JoAnn's except the cream colored roses, they are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I colored my image with copics, I'll add which ones I used later on.

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Katie's favorite nursery rhyme is Itsy Bitsy Spider, or as she would sing it... its, its spider.  This week at Cute Card Thursday we are asking for a card that has some material on it.  I took some gauze and used my black soot distress ink and stained the gauze.
Tilda with Spider is stamped on Neenah Super Smooth paper and stamp with Memento Black Ink.   You can find the Magnolia sentiment here.  I used copic sketch markers to color Tilda with. The amazingly awesome designer paper is from Graphic 45.  Its from the new Halloween in Wonderland pad.  I wasn't much of a fan of the new Alice in Wonderland but I just love this paper, it really gives your cards that halloween punch!

I cut the scroll on the bottom and the spider web with the October 31st cartridge from Cricut.  Flowers are prima and the big black flower and leaves are from Recollections.

And the its its spider went up the spout again....

Glad you stopped by,

An Apple A Day.

Good Morning!!  It's time for another challenge at 7 Kids College Fund.  Today we are asking you to follow a recipe,
1 image from 7 Kids College Fund
2 designer papers
3 flowers
something sparkly!
You can use more than that the recipe calls for but you must use the minimum requirements.

Today I chose to make a gift set.  The image I used is Apple Emma from C.C. Designs.  She is stamped on Neenah Super Smooth paper and stamp with Memento Black Ink. I used copic sketch markers.  I will come back later with a list of the colors that I used.  I added some Glossy Accents to the apples to give them depth and a little sparkle.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I cut the gift bag using the Bags, Tags and More cartridge from Cricut.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Can't wait to see your recipe creation on the 7 Kids Challenge Blog.
