Good day everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying their Father's Day celebration. Happy Father's Day to all the father's out there!! My hubby worked midnights last night so right now he is catching up on some sleep. We plan to do a barbeque tonight. Last night before he went to work we went out for dinner and across from the restaurant was this great BBQ store. We bought some yummy apple cinnamon BBQ sauce and some peach BBQ Sauce. Can't wait to try them out!! Kind of a quiet day at my house. But it's kind of nice, if you know what I mean!!
Anyway...today's card was inspired by the sketch and theme over at
The Pixie Cottage Challenge #23, make mine patriotic. There is also a great tutorial there on how to make an explosion card. I haven't given it a try yet but it looks interesting :)
Of course I used the grand red, white and blue theme, I punched flowers with my martha stewart punch and embellishmented them with some bling!! Then I went on a treasure hunt around the house and came across the star picks (they were left over from Mike's retirement party - 25 years in the Navy). The paper is from my stash. The stamp is from Stampavive - Gillian Roberts - Being Together. She is just the cutest!!
