Thanks!

The holidays are just about over and I can't wait for the kids to go back to school so I can finally clean up the house!  I don't know about you, but everytime I try to pick something up at least 10 more things seem to appear!  It's a never ending job.

Today's card is for Cute Card Thursday, our theme is "Thank You".  Simply make a "Thank You!" card...for whatever reason you like...as long as it says Thank You on it somewhere.

It was so nice to make a card that was not Christmas.  Tilda With Flowing Hair is one of my all time favorite images.  I just love the little flower basket.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft.  I found the beautiful butterfly at Michaels.

Copics:
Skin:  E00, E21
Hair:  E41, E43, E44
Dress:  R00, R01, R02, B0000, B41
Basket: E43, E44, Flowers: B41, B45

snow baby

Hello everyone!  Hope you had a glorious Christmas and Santa brought everything you wanted.  Usually by this time of year we have had quite a few snow storms and lots of snow.  Not so this year.  The mountains have received their fair share but we haven't had any!  I want snow!  The east coast also has had a lot of snow also, a lot of friends has sent me pictures showing me the snow, I'm so jealous!  Anyway, the theme at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge is "Snow Much Fun".  Create a card or project that has snow on it.

I used Tilda in Christmas Coat for my image.  The snow under her feet is a new "Snow Maker" pen that I found at my local scrapbook store.  It is like a paint marker and I really like the way it works.  The only problem with it is that when you prime it the "ink" blobs out.  The cool looking snowfakes are from K and Company.  The snow border punch is from Martha Stewart.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Come back soon, I am going to have some awesome blog candy!!!

I Believe....do you??

This week at One Stop Craft Challenge we are asking the question "Do you believe fairies?"  Well I do!!
The fairy that I used for my card is from Lily of the Valley, the flowers are WOC and the paper is Bo Bunny.  Kind of a simple card this time but I love how the flowers look larger than the fairy.

Gingerbread fun

Arianne has blessed us with a beautiful sketch this week at Sunday Sketch and Stamp.  Sketch #43 will run for three weeks this time because of the Christmas holiday.   Here is her sketch:

I chose to have the sketch on the inside of my card this week.  I wanted something a little different this week.  I used Gingerbread Tilda and went a little simple on the rest of the card.  I used a gate fold card then folded down the top of the "gates" to reveal the inside, kind of like a tuxedo.  I used my Scor-pal to make nice crisp folds.

Here is what the card looks like when you open it up.

copics:
hair:  E41, E43, E44
skin:  E00, E21
clothes and basket:  E30, E31, E33, E44
buttons and hearts:  E29, E39

Flower Frenzy

Cute Card Thursday Day!!  Today we want to see LOTS of flowers on your cards, we are calling it "Flower Frenzy".  I decided to make a little wreath card with Flying Angel Tilda.

I cut all of the flowers out with the "Walk in my Garden" cartridge from Cricut and then put a beautiful brad from Stampin Up! in the middle of each.  Then, if that wasn't enough, I added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I attached all of the flowers onto a piece of chipboard cut like a donut.

Hope you enjoyed today post!

Walking in a Tilda Wonderland

Happy Sunday!!  The theme this week at Stamtacular Sunday Challenge is Blue Blue Christmas.  Since blue is my favorite color, this was a piece of cake for me!  I created a stair step card to display all of the wintry Tildas, Tilda with Fir Tree, Snowy Hug and I can't remember the name of the other Tilda (I did a quick search and couldn't find it, sorry).

The large Snowflakes were cut with the Winter Lace cartridge from Cricut.

The evergreen trees (Smooth Fir from the Merry Little Christmas Magnolia collection) were stamped with versamark, then embossed with irredescent embossing powder and then I cut them out.

Thanks for dropping by!

Tea Box

One Stop Craft Challenge has an awesome challenge for you this week.  Create a project or card that has to do with Tea or Coffee.  What a great idea!  I thought that this challenge was a very unique one and couldn't wait to get my hand into it.  I decided to make a "tea box" as a gift box that holds tea bags.  I really like the way it turned out, so I have taken a lot of pictures of it, sorry for that!  Anyway, I created a tutorial for it that directly follows this post.

Here is the front of the tea box.  I used a chipboard teapot that I got at Michaels for the face of the drawer.  I used Tilda with Cherries and Starlight Tilda (mini) and Tea Cup from Magnolia.

Here you can see the drawer opened just a bit.  The beads were from Michaels also.

Here Tilda with Cherries sits atop a mound of roses.

a quick look at the back
Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you get inspired to create a tea box too.

Tutorial - Tea Box

Tea Box

9x9 piece of heavy cardstock
2 pieces of 3x6 chipboard
Chipboard teapot
Designer paper 3 x 9 3/8
Designer paper to cover teapot
save extra designer paper, we will use it.
Decorative brad
Adhesive
Scor-Pal
paper trimmer

Using the 9x9 piece of cardstock, score at 3” on all sides. Cut up to the 3” mark, twice on 2 sides

Fold to create a box, and adhere sides, this will be your drawer.

Next, take both pieces of 3x6 chipboard and adhere to each other to create a four sided box.

Hint: before attaching place your drawer inside the box to create a nice fit.

Using the 3 x 9 3/8 piece of designer paper, score at 3 1/8 from each side. Apply adhesive and attach to the top of the box. The middle “square” on the designer paper should be on top.

Like this.  There is no designer paper on the bottom.

Using the extra designer paper, adhere the chipboard teapot, and cut out the teapot. I distressed it a little on the sides.

Now attach the tea pot to the front of the drawer. Attach decorative brad to the front to use as a drawer pull.

Now it is time for the fun stuff! Decorate it as you wish!

My finished project!

Thanks for playing along with my tutorial.  I hope you like your tea box.  Please let me know if you have any questions and I will try to answer them.

Christmas treat

OK, confessions of a blogger!  I made this little gift box for a challenge, but I can't remember which challenge it was for!  It is from about a month ago and I never posted it on my blog, so I'm posting it now.  I really like the way it came out and wanted to share it with you.

I used one of my favorite little hAnglar girls, I got her from e-bay and just loved the whole set so much!

Here is what the gift box looks like from the outside.  I used seed beads for the center of the poinsetta on the front.  I embossed my CTMH sentiment with white embossing powder on vellum paper.

The inside designer paper is from Stampin Up!

Thanks for stopping by to see my Opps!!

The blues

Hello all!!  Glad to see you again.  Today at Cute Card Thursday, the theme is "The Blues".  Now I have to say that blue is my favorite color and in the next couple of days you will see A LOT of blue from me!!  I chose to use the beautiful hAnglar angel today for my card.  I just love her, she is so calm and serene and I just love how she is holding the ornament, like it is the most precious thing to her.

The awesome reindeer in the background was cut with the new Christmas Lace cartridge from Cricut.  I think the designer paper is from TPC Studios but I'm not sure, I used some scraps that I had left over and it didn't have the manufacturer on it.  The snowflakes were cut with a Martha Stewart punch and flowers are from WOC.

copics:
dress: E50, E51, E53
blues: B95, B97
hair: E41, E43, E44
skin: E00, E01, E02, E21
ornament: B0000, B41
