Lisa Andrews (You Are Here)

This time I decided to make a gift set for my BFF.  I am calling it "Tea & Jam".  I have a lot of things going on this time so please bare with me, this is a long post!  All the designer paper used is from American Crafts, Freshly Squeezed collection.

My first project is a 3x3 Notecard Holder and Cards.  The tutorial for it is HERE.  I changed the dimensions a little.  The size of my card stock is 10 1/2 x 5 1/2.  Score as directed but also score at 4" and 3" making sure the paper is aligned on the top and right fence.  The score lines that I added are for the flap of the lid.

The cards are 3" x 3" and decorated simply.

Here is the "Jam" part of my project.  I made some yummy cherry jam. The recipe is very simple, just boil 3 cups of pitted cherries with 4 cups of sugar until the consistency you like for jam!  Boil your canning jars according to manufacturers directions and add hot jam.  To decorate my jar, I added a circle of cherry paper from American Crafts (Freshly Squeezed) to the top of the jar and created a rosette and belly band around the jar, then added a pretty bow!

Next was the "Tea" Box.  The tutorial for the Secret Box can be found HERE.

Lastly, every gift needs a pretty card so that is my final project.

Project Recipe:

American Crafts, Freshly Squeezed collected (paper, chipboard letter and stickers)
Wild Orchid Craft Flowers
Baker's Twine
Magnolia Stamp - Cherry Tilda

Magnolia Doo-Hickey, Cherry Lace
Memory Box Die, Savannah Border

Scor-Pal & Skipping Stones Hop

Welcome everyone!  I'm so glad you hopped by!  As you may have already guessed Scor-Pal is hopping along with Skipping Stones Designs and we have some fabulous projects to share with you today!  If you came here from the wonderfully talented Anji Barrs then you are on the right track, if not you start from the beginning so you won't miss out on anything at  Scor-Pal's blog, be sure to stop by there for prize information, you don't want to miss out on that!  Also, drop by Scor-Pal's Facebook Page for a chance to win some more prizes!

On to my project!  I used the beautiful stamp set called Always Here.  I really like these butterflies, I embossed them with gold embossing powder to give them a little extra pizzazz!  I created a 4-Corner Fold Up Card, it was inspired by one that I saw on the internet HERE.  I have modified the directions slightly below.  The little gift box was a tutorial that I found on Splitcoast Stamps for an orgami gift box.

The dimensions of my card is 5x5, cut two pieces of cardstock 5 x 10, line each piece up along the top fence and score at 2 1/2 and 7 1/2.  Take one piece and cut 1/8" off of a long side (this piece with be the inside piece of the card.)  Adhere your pieces together and layer and decorate as you wish.  Fold card together, kind of like you are folding closed a cardboard box.

Card Recipe:
Skipping Stone Designs "Always Here"
Maja Design designer paper
Wild Orchid Flowers
Magnolia Hearts and Swirls Die
green gems
gold embossing powder
Scor-Pal
Scor-Tape

I hope you enjoyed my project today, your next stop is the fabulous JoAnn Valderama.  Good luck and most important have fun!!
