Scor-Pal/Little Darlings Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the Scor-Pal/Little Darlings blog hop! Today we are featuring some fun projects using the Scor-pal/Scor-buddy along with the newly released Fall/Halloween Little Darlings stamps. If you came here from Myrna's blog then you are in the right spot. If not, you will want to start from the beginning at the Scor-pal blog so you don't miss any of today's projects. There will be some Little Darlings stamps given away by Love to Stamp and Scor-pal will be giving away a Scor-buddy to one person randomly chosen from all comments left. The more comments you leave the better your chances of winning. You can also increase your chances of winning a Scor-buddy in other ways as well so check out the Scor-pal blog for complete details.

Unfortunately by husband has started a nasty habit of smoking cigars, something that I am not fond of at all!  But on the bright side, he gives me all of his way cool cigar boxes and that is what my project is made from today!

I think this cute little witch is brewing up something spidery!  The creepy little spiders are from Jolee and my designer paper is from Fancy Pants, Oct. 31.  The cool looking metal spider is from Michaels and is actually a pin you wear on your clothes but I think it looks great sitting on the rosette spider web!  The image is called "Tricks or Treats" and is available at Love to Stamp.

The hardware is from Tim Holtz and I used a Martha Stewart punch for the skirt of the box.  I distressed the cigar box and then rubbed it with Black Soot Distress Ink.

This particular cigar box had an awesome compartment in the inside.

Here is how I made the rosette:

first I punched the edge of a 2" x 12" strip of designer paper with a Martha Stewart punch.  Then I scored every 1/2", next turn the paper over and place it on the 1/4" mark and score again at every 1/2", fold the strip back and forth to create an accordion and attach the ends together with Scor-Tape.

For the ribbon bow on the front I scored the ribbon (I used Stampin Up! black grograin ribbon because it was a little stiffer) every 1/2" then put on some Scor-Tape on the back and folder it up.  Each side is 6 folds.

Then to finish it up I placed a loop of ribbon in the middle.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Good luck with the drawings!

Your next stop is the fabulous Mindy.  She has an awesome project to share with you today!
